The DuPage Community Foundation is a community-based philanthropic organization that identifies, promotes and supports programs that raise the quality of life in DuPage County for this generation and future generations. The Foundation seeks to address the broad needs of DuPage County through grants in support of the following program categories: Arts and Culture, Education, Environmental, Health, and Human Services. Priority Areas
Arts and Culture DuPage County boasts a wide array of world-class arts and cultural organizations that enrich and entertain. The Foundation believes that the arts are essential to a healthy, vital community and seeks to build and maintain vibrant cultural activities. Through its grant-making, the Foundation helps arts organizations to build audiences and increase access, establish arts education programs that serve all economic groups, increase awareness and appreciation for our arts and culture heritage, and enhance the stability of cultural sectors through advocacy and organizational capacity building. Education Education provides a framework for growth and development in every aspect of our daily lives. The Foundation supports quality and enriching learning opportunities that impact knowledge, skills and attitudes for children and adults. Through its grant-making, the Foundation focuses on projects that increase literacy and basic skills development, improve community education programs, provide community outreach, and expand after-school programs for at-risk children. Environmental The Foundation aspires to a green, sustainable community believing that a healthy environment enhances and protects our quality of life. With its grant-making, the Foundation focuses on promoting conservation and restoration of natural areas, habitats and green space, increasing environmental education programs, expanding pollution and waste reduction programs, and protecting wildlife and endangered species.
Health The Foundation supports programs that improve and promote the physical and mental health of the community through education, prevention and early intervention. With its grant-making, the Foundation concentrates on health issues related to lifestyle behaviors and social/physical environments and increasing access to services for developmentally and physically challenged individuals. Human Services DuPage County is home to a host of high quality human service programs that work to improve the quality of life for those in need. The Foundation supports programs that help individuals and families achieve stability through assisting and advocating for at-risk, low income and special populations and by meeting basic human needs of children, youth, adults and senior citizens. Through its grant-making, the Foundation aims to expand direct support services which enable individuals and families to acquire the resources and skills that will ultimately lead to self-sufficiency.
About The General Grant Program
The Foundation is pleased to announce the following application deadlines for its 2010 Discretionary Grant Program:
2010 Spring Cycle February 5, 2010 - Applications for Health and Human Services programs are due at the Foundation's office (104 E. Roosevelt Rd., Ste. 204, Wheaton, IL 60187) by 5:00 p.m.
2010 Fall Cycle August 6, 2010 - Applications for Arts and Culture, Education, and Environmental programs are due at the Foundation's office (104 E. Roosevelt Rd., Ste. 204, Wheaton, IL 60187) by 5:00 p.m.

Applications received after the above mentioned deadlines will not be accepted. Additionally, applicants should note that only one application per organization may be submitted to the Foundation within a calendar year.
Application Information and Eligibility- Before applying for a grant, carefully read the General Grant Guidelines to determine whether your organization is eligible to apply.
- First-time applicants or organizations outside DuPage County should call the Foundation office to determine eligibility prior to applying.
- Grant guidelines, an application cover sheet, an organizational budget form, a final report form and an interim report form can be downloaded from this web site.
- Applications that do not contain all the requested information may be denied.
