"I am honored to serve The DuPage Community Foundation,” said du Vair. “I owe thanks to my parents for demonstrating how individuals can make a significant difference in their community. I look forward to using my financial experience to serve the Investment Committee and am excited about contributing to this wonderful organization."
Since leaving United, du Vair has remained active with consulting work on a project-basis, volunteer work and academics. She recently worked with the broader transportation industry as a strategic consultant assisting with strategy, sales and financial issues. du Vair has been a director for the board of the Rolling Meadows-based Special Leisure Services Foundation since 1999 and the group’s treasurer for the past three years. During this time she has also completed coursework for the University of Chicago's Strategies for Nonprofit Management certificate program.
du Vair resides in Glen Ellyn with her husband and three children.
Charles T. Neff is a wealth manager for Balasa Dinverno & Foltz LLC in Itasca where he specializes in working with affluent families and business owners. From 1992 to 2004 he served as co-founder, president and chief investment officer of the Hinsdale-based WNA Investment Programs, Inc. and as a founding partner of Westrick, Neff & Associates, also located in Hinsdale. Prior to this, Neff accumulated considerable experience within the Chicago financial services industry working for such companies as Ernst & Whinney, Schwinn Bicycle Company and Mitsui MTB Options/Cooper-Neff.
“Having grown up in DuPage County (Elmhurst), I benefited from many of the community programs supported by the Foundation,” said Neff. “I now look forward to working with the Investment Committee to effectively manage the funds entrusted to the Foundation and help maximize its ability to serve the residents of DuPage County.”
Neff earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago. He is also a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Public Accountant.
Neff resides in Batavia with his wife and four children.
Patricia deRosset is an Assistant State’s Attorney for DuPage County and the supervisor of its Child Support Enforcement Program. Prior to joining the State’s Attorney’s Office in 1999, deRosset had been the manager of a suburban Chicago fitness club while simultaneously serving as the owner and manager of a 32,000 acre beef cattle ranch in North Powder, OR, and the manager of a thoroughbred horse breeding and racing facility in Lexington, KY. Some of her other past occupations include managing a 60,000 sq. ft. suburban Chicago shopping center and teaching at both the high school and college levels.
“Everyone hopes to leave behind something worthwhile and permanent that reflects the life they have led,” commented deRosset. “Perhaps a way to start is by giving of your time and life experiences. A legacy should begin in life. Working with The DuPage Community Foundation is a chance for me to help further the foundation that has already been laid by those who have come before and to build on it to provide an even better foundation for the future.”
deRosset holds a B.A. in Government from Lawrence University, an M.A. in Political Science from Northeastern University and a J.D. from Northern Illinois University. She is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Florida.
