What Is The DuPage Community Foundation?

The DuPage Community Foundation is a grantmaking foundation created in 1986 to benefit the people of DuPage County, Illinois.  It receives contributions and bequests into a permanent endowment.  The earnings from the endowment are used to address community needs.  Because the Foundation is a public charity, donors enjoy maximum tax advantages.

The Foundation's strength and character come from its distinctive qualities:

  2. 3. A Board of Trustees representing the community and serving the public interest.

  4. An organizational commitment to provide leadership on current and emerging community problems such as basic human needs, the environment, children and youth.

  5. A commitment to create funds and distribute proceeds in accordance with donors' intentions.
