Foundation Activities Minimize

Marianjoy

Some young actors perform ARF!, a play about puppies, at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton.  The program, performed by children with special needs as part of their therapy, was partially funded by The DuPage Community Foundation.

The Dare to Dream Conference hosted by the District 4 Educational Foundation for Excellence in Addison was funded by DCF for Latina girls and their mothers focusing on the personal, professional and economic value of a college education.

Money Smart Kids

Meet the 2011 Money Smart Kid and Runner-up, Ashraya Sheedhar and Charles Tiseo.  They were presented savings bond awards at the Fourth Annual Money Smart Week, a collaboration of financial institutions, not-for-profits, schools, libraries and other organizations to support financial education. 

A student tutor (left) helps a fellow classmate and refugee (right) on some homework.  World Relief DuPage brings together tutors and refugee students to help them learn, grow and thrive in their new community.

Kids Kaberet

The DuPage Community Foundation funded the purchase and installation of an electric sign for the Kidz Kabaret Theater in Naperville.  The theater, a non-audition company for children and teens, was located in an unmarked building until their new sign was install and has attracted new audience members.
